Most B2B industrial businesses are doing exceptional work, and saying very little about it. Capability is not the issue. Visibility is. In long sales cycles, technical buyer environments, and procurement-led markets, the businesses that get shortlisted are the ones that show up clearly when buyers go looking.
This is not about making more noise. It is about making marketing make sense.

This book is written for you if...
This is not a book for consumer brands or SaaS startups. It is written for the businesses that design, build, manufacture, and maintain the infrastructure, technology, and capability that underpins everything else.
- You inherited the marketing role, or built it from scratch
- You are expected to "just post something" without clear direction
- You are trying to prove marketing's value internally, often as a team of one
- You are a business owner who knows marketing should be doing more
- You operate in long sales cycles, technical markets or procurement-led environments
- If you work in manufacturing, engineering, defence, energy or complex B2B, this book was written for you
Industry runs on standards. Marketing now has one.
Every part of an industrial business operates to a standard. ISO 9001. AS/NZS 4801. Defence specs. Energy regulations. The work is held to a structure that earns trust, defends decisions, and stands up to audit.
Marketing has not had one. BRAG is built to be it.
The book lays out the standard in two parts and a bonus BRAG blueprint, structured the way industry already thinks.

PART ONE
Foundations.
The strategic groundwork. Six chapters.
Chapter 1: Marketing in the Industrial World. Context, supply chains, STEM&M complexity, real buyer journeys.
Chapter 2: Why Your Customers Can't Hear You. Positioning problems, brand invisibility, “best-kept secret” syndrome.
Chapter 3: Know the Market Before You Move. Market research, personas, brand health, qualitative and quantitative research.
Chapter 4: Strategy Before Activity. Business plans, sales alignment, objectives versus tactics, budget foundations.
Chapter 5: Build Your Industrial Brand. Value propositions, positioning, brand identity, when to rebrand.
Chapter 6: Your Website Is Your Global Shopfront. UX, SEO, platforms, credibility elements.

PARTÂ TWO
Build Your Marketing Engine.
The operational execution. Seven chapters.
Chapter 7:   Build a Stack That Works. LinkedIn, CRM, email, automation, martech stack.
Chapter 8:Â Content Should Make It Easy To Say Yes. Case studies, capability statements, campaign messaging.
Chapter 9:Â Tactics That Win Industrial Work. Campaigns, SEM, account-based marketing, trade media, PR, white papers.
Chapter 10: Align Sales and Marketing: from Silos to One Powerful Revenue Engine. Silo busting, lead definitions, sales enablement.
Chapter 11: The Metrics That Matter. Short and long-term metrics, ROI, dashboards.
Chapter 12:Â Stop Winging It, Start Leading It. Empowerment, executive buy-in, marketing as leadership.
Chapter 13:Â The AI Advantage (Only If You've Done the Work). How AI amplifies strong foundations, and exposes weak ones.

BONUS
The BRAG BlueprintÂ
A condensed workbook of practical templates, self-audit checklists, and frameworks.Â

About Jacqui Daley
Jacqui Daley is a marketing strategist with twenty-five years in marketing, more than a decade of it focused inside industrial and B2B businesses, helping them get clear, get confident, and grow with intent.
She is the founder of The Measured Marketer, established in 2016, and is based in the Hunter region of New South Wales, one of Australia's most significant industrial hubs spanning manufacturing, energy, mining, defence, and heavy industry. From this base, she has worked extensively across Australia with manufacturers, engineering and technical services firms, defence suppliers, and energy and resources businesses.
She has helped manufacturers win multi-million dollar tenders, supported defence suppliers to break into new markets, and worked alongside engineers who would rather solve problems than talk about them (which is why they hired her).
As former Chair of the Hunter Manufacturing Awards and former CMO for the Hunter Defence Taskforce, Jacqui operates at the intersection of marketing, industry, and leadership. She has sat on boards, judged industry awards, represented Australian businesses internationally, and built marketing strategies that have stood up in boardrooms, on factory floors, and in defence procurement meetings.
“I wrote BRAG because I was tired of watching capable businesses stay invisible. Not because they lacked talent. Because no one had shown them how marketing actually works in industries like theirs.”
JACQUI DALEY, AUTHOR AND FOUNDER
What people are saying
“I've rarely felt seen as an industrial CMO. Our cycles are long, buying decisions are complex and our customers demand discretion as much as confidence. BRAG understands all of it, and finally gives the industry the marketing framework it deserves."
Jane Hillsdon, CMO, Birdon
“When it comes to marketing for manufacturers it’s hard not to think of anyone else but Jacqui. Jacqui has dedicated decades of her career to building not only her expertise in this sector, but also her genuine connections and relationships with those on the ground who are working in the manufacturing businesses every day. To see all that knowledge and insight now turn into a book is an incredible achievement and I have no doubt this book will become a go to resource for many marketers for years to come."
Adrienne Donnelly, Admin & Events Manager, HMA
“Having worked alongside Jacqui, I have seen first-hand what sets her apart: her ability to translate a company's existing strengths into genuine opportunities for growth and diversification. Jacqui sees the potential others miss and gives leaders the clarity to act on it.”
Clare Skyes, Co-Lead New.E, Hunter Energy
